Software Engineer

Software Engineer

Innovative and ambitious company within personal health technology is looking for a software engineer who has a genuine interest in software development and is looking to explore a new way of working.

Key tasks and responsibilities

The position as software engineer includes work within areas of:

  • Front- and backend web development
  • Shape-up related tasks
  • Software architecture and design
  • System architecture and security
  • Data collection, management, pre-processing and analysis
  • Quality assurance
  • Documentation and compliance

What we offer

We offer you a fantastic opportunity to join a young company, where you truly can make an impact and help shape the future in an exciting field. Personal health technology and mHealth are booming markets worldwide. You will have the opportunity to join us on our quest to provide innovative solutions for disease management and treatment support and thereby reduce the burden of mental illness in society. Our informal, fast-paced environment will give you great opportunities to grow professionally and personally.

You will become a member of a talented team with a passion for delivering high-quality code, high-performing services, and creating customer value through a great product. Monsenso has recently moved on from Scrum and are now using Shape Up, meaning:

  • The team works in cycles long enough to build something meaningful start-to-finish and short enough that everyone can feel the deadline is concrete and comprehensible.
  • The work is shaped prior to starting a cycle – concrete enough that the team knows what to do, yet abstract enough that there is room to work out the interesting details themselves.
  • Less focus on estimates more on appetite – we are narrowing down the problem and designing the outline of a solution that fits within the constraints of our appetite.
  • Focus on delivering completed work that solves problems and adds value to the product and the stakeholders.
  • Full responsibility is given to the team. They define their own tasks, make adjustments to the scope, and work together to build vertical slices of the product one at a time.

The Shape Up method has brought our development to a new level and has proven very motivating – across the organisation.

Desired skills

A curious and thorough approach to software development is more important to us than expertise within a specific area.

All-round knowledge of the languages and technologies we use is considered an advantage.

Examples:

  • C#
  • Typescript
  • Angular 2+
  • HTML/CSS
  • Couchbase

And additionally:

  • Java
  • Swift

Experience with Shape Up would be great, but it is not a requirement. However, the interest in learning about it and accordingly taking active part in Shape Up related tasks is required.

Only EU citizens who can live and work in Denmark will be considered for this position.

Please send your application to jobs@monsenso.com.

Monsenso’s passionate team is dedicated to designing innovative personalised health technology that helps people, care providers and societies overcome the burden of mental and chronic illness.

We are looking for an ambitious Lead Psychologist with a background from clinical practice and experience in developing digital health programs, who will be responsible for the development of self-help content for Monsenso’s digital health platform. You will join the product team acting as both a clinical expert and sparring partner. You will work with our customers and research partners on determining how the product can best support different treatment pathways. You will be involved in the lifecycle – from idea, definition, and development to validating the platform and content in collaboration with clinicians and patients making sure the content we deliver through the platform is both impactful and engaging.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Build our “standard” self-help content for e.g. depression, anxiety, addiction, stress, bipolar disorder etc. in collaboration with specialists in the various dis-ease areas and work with partners to co-develop content.
  • Plan and perform content and product validation together with clinicians, patients and researchers.
  • Give input to our overall product functionality and development roadmap and participate in customer and research projects.
  • Potentially act as clinical safety officer and oversee the clinical safety of our software-as-a-medical device product.

We expect that you

  • Are trained and licensed clinical psychologist.
  • Have professional experience from clinical treatment of mental disorders.
  • Are experienced and knowledgeable on how digital content and therapy methods such as CBT, ACT, DBT can best support patients and work as key supplements to therapy and medical treatment.
  • Are a good, fluent communicator in English and ideally also Danish or German, who can create engaging content together with colleagues and partners.
  • Are technically interested, believe in the perspectives of data-driven and personalised digital health and are not afraid of setting up content in our platform (we will of course train you on how it works).
  • Already have experience in developing digital mental health self-help or blended care programs or are keen to do so and believe this is the future way of providing access to high-quality services to more people.

Previous experience in a clinical safety officer role would be an advantage, but not a requirement.

What we offer

  • We offer a fantastic opportunity to join a young and innovative growth company, where you can make an impact and help shape the future in an exciting field.
  • You should expect an informal, fast-paced environment with tremendous opportunities for personal development.
  • The position can be part-time or full-time – the important thing is to find the right candidate that matches our ambitions and the team.

Only applicants living in and holding a valid working permit in Denmark or UK will be considered for this position.
